Additional images to complete PT 1. Of interest and obvious note is Japan’s tie to Jazz, Whiskey and Baseball (favorites here at BC). Perfectly replicated re-issues of the best music labels / Jazz Kisa’s , celebrated approaches to Scotch and a tradition of the Great American Pastime are world renowned and respected. This of course raises the subject of imitation. Japan can be said to “imitate” products from around the world and often elevate the quality of those products to an entirely different level - frequently better. To that end this “sincerest form of flattery” becomes its own iconic and collectable / admired product - a kind of international refinement process > Lotus to Mazda - Rolex to Grand Seiko - Ben Nevis to Nikka.
Enjoy a few more images of this tradition.
